Grant up to R2.5 million (blended)

Blended finance support for registered co-operative enterprises. The grant portion is capped at R2.5 million for qualifying activities. Priority is given to co-operatives owned by women, youth, and people with disabilities in rural, township, and peri-urban areas.

R1 000 to R250 000

Non-repayable grant for young South African entrepreneurs. Covers business equipment, tools, stock, and working capital. Complemented by business development support and mentorship. Aimed at youth aged 18 to 35.

Up to R60 000

Non-repayable grant that covers SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) product testing and certification costs for small enterprises. Helps SMMEs meet regulatory and quality standards required to access formal retail and export markets.

Up to R600 000

Non-repayable grant for small enterprises to access new technologies, machinery, and equipment that improve productivity and competitiveness. Administered through the SEDA Technology Programme (STP) in partnership with the DTIC. Covers technology acquisition and technology transfer costs.

R500 million total fund

A R500 million fund to assist entrepreneurs who want to establish and grow spaza shops. Part of government efforts to support the informal retail sector and township economy.

Up to R5 million

Non-repayable grant covering 50% to 85% of qualifying innovation development costs for South African manufacturers and technology businesses. The PPD (Product Process Development) scheme covers up to R2 million. The Matching scheme covers up to R5 million. Targets pre-commercialisation product and process development.

Up to R1.5 million

Non-repayable grant funding for technology-based ventures at technology readiness levels 5 and 6 (TRL 5-6). Supports commercialisation of innovations developed in South Africa. Disbursed through TIA-accredited incubators and technology stations.

Support for small businesses in township and rural areas operating in specific sectors including bakeries, butcheries, spaza shops, beauty and personal care, clothing, autobody repair, and cooked food businesses.

Each sub-programme provides tailored equipment, working capital, and business support.
