A programme that supports informal, micro and small enterprises and cooperatives in township and rural economies through blended finance and business development support. It is designed to promote participation in the mainstream economy and improve competitiveness, compliance, and market access.

Who qualifies

Open to entities registered with CIPC, including cooperatives, that are 100% owned by South African nationals. Employees must be 70% South African, and the business must operate in a township or rural area. The enterprise must be registered or willing to register with SARS, UIF, and local municipality licensing where applicable. Financial support is structured as blended finance with a maximum grant amount of R100,000, 5% fixed interest, and repayment terms up to 36 months with a 3-month moratorium.
