Funding amount
Up to R100 000
Financial and non-financial support for South African-owned township and rural community convenience shops, including spaza shops and general dealers. The fund supports stock purchases, infrastructure upgrades, refrigeration, shelving, security systems, POS adoption, training, digital literacy, food safety, and business compliance.
Who qualifies
Applicant must be a South African citizen. The spaza shop must operate in a township or rural area, be owner-managed, and be registered with the local municipality. CIPC registration becomes required for funding above R80 000 within six months. Youth, women, and people with disabilities receive priority consideration.
