Funding amount

R50 000 to R1.3 million (award-based)

Grants and business development support for high-impact South African entrepreneurs and social enterprises. Covers sectors with strong job-creation and community development potential. Includes annual award competitions and an ongoing enterprise development pipeline for qualifying businesses. The Social Innovation Awards offer grants of R300 000 to R1.3 million; enterprise development grants range from R50 000 to R500 000.

Who qualifies

South African entrepreneur or business with demonstrated social or economic impact. No strict age restriction — youth (under 35), women, and people with disabilities are given preference in the awards track. Business does not need to be a formal NPO; for-profit businesses with strong community impact qualify. Annual award cycles open approximately February–March each year — applications for 2026 awards are closed; monitor for 2027 cycle.
