IDF Capital (est. 2008) is South Africa's first female-owned and led multi-fund manager, investing in black-owned, high-growth SMEs. They offer a range of funding instruments including invoice discounting (from R50,000), purchase order finance (from R100,000), contract finance, term loans, revolving credit facilities, and equity deals up to R110 million. IDF applies a gender-lens investment strategy — 59% of their portfolio is female-owned. Funding is rolling with no advertised closing date. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Who qualifies
Black-owned and controlled businesses with high growth potential. Must have at least 12 months of trading history and a minimum of 3 completed trades. Must show a track record of trading with medium or large corporates. Funding requirements must not exceed 50% of prior 12-month revenue. Strong focus on female-owned businesses (gender-lens strategy). Does NOT fund NPOs, cooperatives, non-commercial ventures, gambling, liquor, military, illegal activities, speculative businesses, debt replacement, or businesses in distress/rescue.

- Complete online application form (all Members/Shareholders and key Directors must complete Sections 1 and 5)
- Pitch deck or business plan
- Proof of 12 months trading history
- Evidence of at least 3 completed trades with medium or large corporates
- Financial statements or management accounts
- Bank statements
