Grant funding for black industrialists to establish or expand manufacturing and industrial operations. The grant covers capital expenditure (CAPEX), feasibility studies, and market access costs. Designed to create a new generation of black-owned manufacturers and industrialists with global competitiveness.

Who qualifies

Must be majority black-owned (51%+) South African manufacturing or industrial business. Project must involve significant capital investment in productive capacity. DTIC assesses job creation, local content, and transformation credentials. No upper age restriction. Suitable for established businesses scaling into larger industrial operations.

What to prepare

  • CIPC company registration
  • B-BBEE certificate (Level 1–4, majority black-owned)
  • Audited financial statements
  • Detailed project feasibility study
  • Business plan with CAPEX breakdown
  • Environmental impact assessment (where applicable)
  • Bank statements (6 months)
  • Management CVs
  • SARS tax compliance certificate
