OpenSupport Programme for Industrial Innovation (SPII)
Funding amount
Up to R5 million
Non-repayable grant covering 50% to 85% of qualifying innovation development costs for South African manufacturers and technology businesses. The PPD (Product Process Development) scheme covers up to R2 million. The Matching scheme covers up to R5 million. Targets pre-commercialisation product and process development.
Who qualifies
Must be a South African registered company. Project must involve development of a new or improved product or process. Must not yet be fully commercialised at time of application. Previously DTIC-funded projects may apply for follow-on phases.
