Up to R1 million (50% cost-share)

The Black Business Supplier Development Programme offers a 50/50 cost-sharing grant to help black-owned businesses improve competitiveness. No age restriction in qualifying criteria.

Who qualifies

Must be 51%+ black-owned, VAT registered (threshold now R2.3 million from April 2026), annual turnover between R250 000 and R35 million, at least 50% of management positions held by black people, trading for at least 1 year, not in liquidation.

  • Company registration (CIPC)
  • ID documents of owners
  • VAT registration certificate
  • 3 years financial statements
  • Latest 6 months bank statements
  • Tax clearance certificate
